Teri Hatcher is cracking open her experiences as a woman and serving them sunny side up with “A Chick’s Guide to Life.” According to Variety, the “Desperate Housewives” star will launch GetHatched.com in conjunction with Disney in May. She described the website to Variety as “empowering” and promises it will “provide, with humor, insight and vulnerability, solutions to the needs and obligations of today’s modern women.” The Wisteria Lane resident will give advice to her fellow ladies out there in cyberspace via articles, blogs, and webisodes. Hatcher, working with a staff, will oversee the creative and editorial content. DisneyFamily.com will produce the website. The actress also authored a book in 2006 called “Burnt Toast and Other Philosophies of Life,” which provides family and career advice to women. You can watch Hatcher’s character Susan Mayer get tangled up in all sorts of drama on “Desperate Housewives” on Sunday nights on ABC.

Tonight on “Dancing with the Stars,” “The Insider”’s own Niecy Nash will hit the dance floor with her partner Louis Van Amstel, and they’re assuming new personas for their foxtrot. “The people who made this dance [their] signature [dance], to me, would be Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers,” Niecy told “The Insider” at a rehearsal session, going on to say, “I lovingly call him ‘Louis Astaire,’ and I call myself ‘Ginger Snap.’” “It’s going to be quite an elegant, and still sassy, performance,” Louis promises. And when it comes to getting the votes to make it past the first elimination, Niecy has no fear: “Everybody keeps telling me, ‘I’m voting for you, Niecy,’ so as long as they keep their phone bills paid, we’ve got a few votes in the can.” “Dancing with the Stars” airs tonight on ABC.

Former “The Bachelor” hunk Jake Pavelka and his pro partner Chelsie Hightower are ramping up for their second performance on tonight’s “Dancing with the Stars.” Can they beat last week’s score of 20 with the jive? Jake tells “The Insider” that the jive has been rough, and Chelsie agrees, saying it’s one of the hardest dances to do because it’s all about bounce, kicks, flicks and everything that’s completely foreign to every human on this earth. Still, the dancing couple says a few tricks will be thrown in to make it different. As for his future flashy fashions, Jake defers to his partner’s judgement, saying, “I know nothing about fashion. She’s in control. I have a boss at home and I have a boss on the dance floor!” Last week after delivering a romantic Viennese waltz, judge Len Goodman warned Jake, “Stop sticking your bum out. … You’ve got great potential,” while Carrie Ann Inaba said, “There’s a bravado in you that’s very easy to watch.” Bruno Tonioli agreed that Jake’s overall footwork work was “nice and romantic,” although he thought Jake was a bit “rough” with his partner.
